The old centre of Catania is located on what originally was the site of the Greek and Roman city. The visit will give you the chance to learn more about this city rebuilt after the eruption of Mount Etna which took place in 1669 and the earthquake of 1693.
A stop will be also made to visit the Cathedral, the Palazzo dei Chierici, the baroque Church of Sant’Agata alla Badia, Palazzo Biscari, the Ursino Castle.
To the north of Catania the beautiful coastline is known as the Cyclops’ riviera. Take the chance to visit the fishing villages of Acicastello and Acitrezza.
